In the trailer, the developers revealed a scenario where a squad of 2042 Specialists can face an army of WW2 Germans. This implies that there’s no limit on what weapons, gadgets, and vehicles these soldiers can equip.
Here are the maps that will be a part of the Battlefield Portal:
- Battle of the Bulge
- El Alamein
- Valparaiso
- Arica Harbor
- Caspian Border
- Noshahr Canals
All these maps have been rebuilt on the latest Frostbite Engine. Accordingly, they will support 4k resolution alongside 60 FPS. Destruction and weather effects that first seemed exclusive to the BF 2042 title will also be available on these classic maps.
It is worth noting that all the new content that arrives in Battlefield 2042 will automatically arrive in the Portal too. Hence, there’s no possibility of players running out of options while exploring it.

Call of Duty Warzone is already going through its worst phase ever. The game seems almost unplayable owing to the prominence of hackers, bugs, and poor audio design. Some of the biggest names in the community, like Dr Disrespect are ready to Warzone as soon as Battlefield 2042 hits the stores.
On the other side, Fortnite is also trying its best to improve the Creative mode. Up till now, Epic Games has done a decent job on the feature, but the Battlefield Portal overshadows it in almost every aspect.
