Los Angeles Lakers have one of the best rosters in the NBA this season. However, they have not been able to dominate the league so far and are .536 this season. The Lakers didn’t have such a monstrous roster in the last few years of Kobe Bryant in LA. Kobe would not have liked the current situation of the Lakers if he was still around.

Kobe was famous not just for his consistency, he even pushed his teammates to perform better. There are several incidents of Kobe trash-talking and criticizing his teammates on the court as well as on the practice court. He didn’t like to lose at any point in his career. However, during his last few years in LA, the Lakers were going through a hard time.

Seven years since Kobe Bryant trash-talked with his teammates at the practice court

Seven years ago, Kobe went on an epic rant and criticized his teammates at the Lakers for the team’s poor performance. The following clip shows Kobe’s rant and Charles Barkley‘s reaction to it.

“You motherf***ers are soft like Charmin…Now I see why we’ve lost 20 f***ing games,” Kobe said.

However, after a poor 2013-14 season, the Lakers went through another season full of struggles as they finished 21-61 in the 2014-15 season. They started the season 1-9, which is a franchise-worst record. Kobe had a season-ending injury in the middle of the season and the Lakers lost all hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.

But with everyone expecting the Lakers to rebound from two disappointing seasons, the Lakers posted a franchise-worst 17-65. It was Kobe’s last season with the Lakers. But Kobe scored his season-high 60 points against Utah Jazz in the last NBA game of his career. This made him the oldest player to score 60 or more points in the NBA.
