Washington Wizards registered an emphatic win over Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. The Wizards were behind the Thunder in the first half but took the lead in the 3rd quarter and maintained the lead till the final quarter. However, two of their star players were involved in an altercation during halftime and had to be separated.

The Wizards managed to record a narrow win over the Thunder at the Capital One Arena. However, close games often lead to tensions flaring during the game and this instance was no different. But this time two Wizards teammates, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, engaged in an altercation on Tuesday night.

In fact, it wasn’t just another heated moment between two teammates. According to some reports, the two players engaged in a physical altercation and were separated by the teammates.

NBA teammates Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell engaged in an altercation at half-time

According to Shams Charania, Wizards stars Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell got into a fight during half-time at Wizards vs Thunder. Montrezl Harrell was reportedly angry at Caldwell-Pope for not passing the ball to him before the half-time bell sounded. It was reported that two had to be separated by their teammates and by the time they reached the locker room; the fight was over.

However, the two came out in a jovial mood after halftime and put forth a significant contribution during the game. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 26 points and recorded 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Harrell, on the other end of the spectrum, started off the bench and scored 12 points in 24 minutes. Both Caldwell-Pope and Harrell were acquired by the Wizards during the summer in an exchange deal involving Russell Westbrook.

The Wizards are now 21-20 this season and 5-5 in their last five games. A win against the Thunder puts them in the 9th position in the Eastern Conference. However, the Wizards now have seven straight home game wins in the NBA and have a good chance at improving their winning% now.
