Wife Ayesha Reveals the Reason Behind Her “No Athletes” Dating Policy Before Meeting Stephen Curry

NBA icon Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha are probably one of the most loved celebrity couples out there. Now married for around a decade, the two have known each other for even longer. However, dating an athlete was apparently not on the mind of Ayesha.

Over the years, the couple has often spoken about their relationship and past. Loved for their charm and honesty, neither have ever shied away from discussing their personal lives.

In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, both Curry and Ayesha revisited a few pages from their past. Ayesha specifically spoke about her high school time, where she was certainly not looking to date or marry an athlete.

Why did Stephen Curry’s wife not want to date athletes?

While on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ayesha revealed that she once had a ‘no athletes’ rule written in capital letters on a list she had.

Though she did mean it back then, it was just an activity her teacher in high school made them do for the theater class. They had to write down things they want in a significant other, and Ayesha apparently did not want any athletes.

Even the 32-year-old author is aware that the whole situation is quite hilarious.

“It was ‘High School Musical’ days. I was in my feelings, and I wrote that on there. So it’s like one of those things, be careful what you say because God definitely has a sense of humor”.

The three-time NBA champion and Fallon enjoyed a good laugh as they moved on to other topics. They discussed certain things while circling back to the game show they are promoting. The couple will be hosting a new game show called About Last Night, which is to premiere on February 10.

Interestingly, the show was announced around a year ago in March and is based on an older show called Tattletales. Both were happy to host the show, which will finally come to life.

How long have Stephen Curry and Ayesha been dating?

Having said that, Curry and Ayesha have known each other for around two decades now. They got married in 2011 and used to be friends before they actually started dating. The two now have three children together – Riley, Ryan, and Canon. Since their marriage, Ayesha has started many successful ventures and has also authored best-sellers like The Full Plate: Flavor-Filled, Easy Recipes for Families with No Time and a Lot to Do.

On the other hand, Curry is playing his 13th NBA season while averaging MVP-worthy 25.9 points per game.
