Once again, fans were able to witness James Harden switch teams in a blockbuster trade. The NBA icon is now playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, teaming up with Joel Embiid. Hopefully, Harden can achieve his goal of winning a title in Philadelphia with Embiid. Here are a few highlights from Harden’s time on the court.

In 2020, Harden signed with the Brooklyn Nets to create a superteam with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. However, the odds weren’t in their favor as injuries and rules plagued their time on the court. Ultimately, the big three only played only 16 games together before Harden decided to take his talents elsewhere.
This is the real reason why James Harden wanted out of Brooklyn! Btw we can be possible looking at the next version of Kobe and Shaq when it comes to Embiid and Harden!!! Carry the hell on… pic.twitter.com/lppDn41RdZ

That elsewhere seems to be alongside Embiid–who has been nothing but brilliant in leading his team without Ben Simmons this season. Having said that, fans, along with Kendrick Perkins, seem particularly excited over James Harden and Joel Embiid teaming up together.

As Simmons moves to the Brooklyn Nets for a superteam of his own, Harden and Embiid might give rise to a completely different dynamic in Philadelphia. While the Sixers have performed well over the past few years, a title has been elusive. With Harden as their new member, though, they might just secure the title.
As per Perkins, Harden was playing like he was with the Nets because he did not want to play with Kyrie Irving. With the 76ers, Harden has an MVP-worthy teammate in Joel Embiid. He even dropped stats about Harden playing better (and winning) without Irving and Durant on the court.

Of course, only Harden’s time with the 76ers will be able to confirm what Perkins said. Considering Harden and his time with the Nets, one can never predict how the season might go. The 76ers are currently placed fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 33-22 win-loss record.
