Scottie Pippen recently became the talk of the NBA Community following the release of his memoir “Unguarded”. He simultaneously raised a lot of questions and gave some brutal opinions.
Especially about the ‘Last Dance’ documentary series and how Michael Jordan manipulated the narrative of their dynasty run. While many fans believed this critique was only a way for him to sell his book, Pippen finally proved them wrong.

In an interview with WGN News, Scottie appeared via video call to talk about his book. During the interview’s duration, Pippen felt like he was getting badgered with questions about Michael.

Until around 7 minutes into the interview, the reporter from WGN had asked several questions about Michael Jordan. However, Scottie eventually had enough of it. So when the reporter asked him another question centered around Michael, he gave him a piece of his mind.
He said, “You’re really making this a Michael’s interview. I kind of gave in and thought t maybe if I answered it with your first thing that you would maybe talk about the book. But you’re making this interview about Michael.”

Scottie has finally shown the world that the purpose of this criticism over the last few days is not to just sell his book. He only expressed his dissatisfaction about it once the media were asking questions centered only around Michael.
However, one cannot deny that it seemed like a publicity move to involve Michael Jordan in an apparent beef right before the release of his book. Even when GQ released Scottie’s book excerpt, the focus of the piece was what he felt about Michael Jordan and the Last Dance.

Nevertheless, Pippen has in a way expressly clarified that he does not wish that one overshadows another. Even in a team and even in the release of his book, his disagreements with Michael are separate from the main object. In a team, the object is winning. And for Scottie now, the object is to sell his book, not publicize his dirty laundry with Michael.
