The NBA season is finally underway. With multiple trades and off-season signings, the number of competitors have skyrocketed for the upcoming season. From the new look Lakers who have added Russell Westbrook or be it the Chicago Bulls who splashed the cash on some big name free agents, the NBA season is stacked.

The start certainly hasn’t disappointed. Be it LeBron James throwing down his iconic tomahawk dunk or Stephen Curry recently dropping a whopping 45 points, the first week of the league season has been eventful to say the least.

After the first three days, the Western Conference has seen three teams emerge with a 2-0 record, the Nuggets, the Warriors and the Jazz. While Warriors have been touted to be a title competitor, the Nuggets and Jazz have often been underestimated but their start certainly suggests why they should not be taken lightly.

NBA star Joe Ingles gets ejected for dangerous foul

While the Jazz have had a great start, their start hasn’t come up with some controversies. In their most recent matchup against the Sacramento Kings, the Jazz had a great back-and-forth game.

Given how close the game was, defense became a very big priority in the game. In one such play the Kings saw rookie Davion Mitchell in a fast break. Joe Ingles saw himself as the only defender on the paint.

While Mitchell was mid air, the Ingles bumped into the rookie. Mitchell, who was on his way to score an easy dunk, lost his balance and missed the dunk. On his way down the rookie thankfully did not suffer from a massive injury and was up in no-time.

Given how dangerous the foul looked and how different the implications could have been, Ingles was understandably handed a Fragrant 2 foul and was rightly ejected from the game.

While Ingles just had a minor nudge, one could imagine the injuries rookie Davion Mitchell could have had it would have been a hard push. The NBA is certainly changing the way how refereeing is done. Be it unwilling to give easy fouls or making the game safer by having strict player ejection policies.Do you think Ingles deserved to be ejected?
