Miami Heat registered their 24th win of the season as they defeated the Blazers at the Moda Center. Max Strus starred for the Heat with 25 points in 31 mins. Tyler Herro acted a perfect sixth man for the Heat as he came off the bench to score 16 points.

While the scoreline may look comfortable, but it was far from an easy victory for the Heat. They led the first half by 11 points, but a strong comeback from the Balzers in the third quarter cut short their lead to 3 points. However, the Heat managed to control the tempo of the game in the final quarter and ended up winning by 6 points.

There weren’t many stars on the court on both sides, but it was a thrilling encounter between the two sides. With just a minute to the final buzzer, Blazers star Jusuf Nurkic and Heat star Tyler Herro were engaged in a scuffle.

Jusuf Nurkic and Tyler Herro ejected as Miami Heat snatch important away win

Portland Trail Blazers were 10 points down with just a minute to go. However, their star center, Jusuf Nurkic, screened Herro, which was a bit hard but legal. Herro, however, tumbled and instantly reacted to the move. He ran after Nurkic and shoved him on his back. Nurkic then pawed at Herro’s face with his left hand. By that time, their teammates and the referees separated the two. The referee ejected Nurkic and Herro after their altercation.

From the video, it’s hard to predict what angered Herro. However, both players were rightfully ejected after their altercation. But the game became more intense from there. Powell hit the two free throws after their ejection. He went on to score seven points in the final minute and cut short the lead to four points as Miami led 113-109.

However, the Heat managed to hold on to their lead and ended up winning an important away game. The Heat are currently fourth in the eastern conference table with 24 wins and next face Phoenix Suns on the road.
