Damian Lillard is arguably one of the most underrated superstars in the NBA. Despite averaging top notch numbers over the years, Lillard hasn’t got as much recognition his talent deserves. Be it his incredible scoring ability or his skill to shoot the ball, the Lillard is undoubtedly a superstar.

Over the years though, one thing has separated Lillard from other players, his clutch shooting. Be it shooting 30 foot winners against the likes of OKC Thunder or force a game to overtime, Dame Dolla has made a name as a clutch player with the last moments of the game known as ‘Dame Time’.

Jimmy Butler mimics Damian Lillard during practice

Just like Lillard in the Western Conference, Jimmy Butler is another superstar in the Eastern Conference who is often overlooked. Playing for an underrated side like the Miami Heat, Butler is the close for the Heat.

While he has an incredible mid-range shot, Butler has been an inconsistent three point shooter. His shooting in bubble might have been incredible, but his three point shooting in last season’s was pretty disappointing.

Butler is certainly up for putting in the work and improve his game. In a recent video, the Heat forward was seen knocking down multiple three pointers in practice. While shooting the ball, Butler yelled ‘Dame Time’ and despite being heavily guarded, Jimmy made the basket.

The 32-year-old went onto score multiple mid-range jump shots as well. This season might well be a make or break season for both Lillard and Butler. While Dame has continued to be a brilliant for the Blazers, playoff success have been sparse.

Only making a Western Conference Finals appearance in the last four seasons and crashing out early in other seasons, ‘Dame Dolla‘ was linked to a move away from the team this off-season. But the players as of now, is giving it another shot with the team. If the Blazers crash out early yet again, Lillard’s time in Portland might be limited.

As for Butler, the Heat have made some big moves in the off-season. Bringing in Kyle Lowry, the Heat now have their own big three. While Butler had an exceptional run in the bubble, he flamed out in last season’s playoffs. If the Heat want to compete and Butler wants to win a title, he will have to step up and deliver. Who do you think will have a successful season, Damian Lillard or Jimmy Butler?
