With each passing day, the NBA 2021-22 season is nearing. Of course, a new season means a new opportunity for each team to try and win the league championship. This includes the Portland Trail Blazers, who have been trying to get better every season.

The Trail Blazers’ sole NBA title was won in 1977. Now, with Damian Lillard on board, the team is aiming for a deeper playoff run and a title. Even though Lillard has performed his absolute best for his team, the title continues to evade the organization.

Despite the difficulties, Lillard looks like he is far from giving up. Let’s take a look at Lillard’s recent practice clip, which has left the NBA world in awe of his skills.

Damian Lillard drowns back-to-back threes at Portland Trail Blazers practice

In the video, we can see Lillard shoot eight back-to-back long-distance shots. Even if the whole video might look easy-going to some, Lillard’s shots were perfect. Everyone around Lillard and on social media was all praises for the 31-year-old icon.

Naturally, a three-point practice drew comparisons to Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry – considered the best shooter in NBA history. Users on Twitter stated that even though Curry is a better three-point shooter, Lillard seems to be doing better from the long-range. Others spoke about Lillard being a threat, but the remaining roster being weak.

Some even focused on how this affects the opposition, who will have to guard him well way beyond the three-point line.

Do the Trail Blazers have a shot at the NBA title?

“I think over the years we’ve always had a competitive team, I think we’ll be competitive again,” Lillard had said during the team’s media day. “Obviously, at the end of last season I wanted to see our roster improve. I wanted us to have a better chance to win”. He added that they were trying to look ahead during the season, and how one would be able to do that.
