Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard was one of the victims of the much-discussed “snitch hotline.”
He revealed in a recent Instagram post that somebody reported him to the hotline. The anonymous tip-off didn’t really impress Howard, who felt people were “making a big deal out of it.”
“I just thought it was pointless for someone to tell I didn’t have a mask on by myself,” Howard told reporters Saturday (Via ESPN). “I don’t even know when it happened.”

“Everybody is making a big deal out of it, but I feel like we are in the safest place in Orlando. We get tested every day. If we are only around each other, we get tested every day, we can’t practice with masks on, I personally don’t see a risk of us getting it during the time period we are here.”
Since the news of NBA setting up a hotline for players to report protocol breaches came up, there were a few discussions about it. Many pundits and former players have given their opinion on it. Considering the pandemic, the NBA could not afford to take any risks regarding the safety of those inside the bubble. Thus, the hotline is a part of its safety measures.
