Los Angeles Lakers are struggling this season and sit ninth in the Western Conference. However, that didn’t stop them from drubbing Stephen Curry’s Warriors by 8 points. LeBron James was the star of the night for the Lakers as he scored a historic 56 points vs Warriors. The Warriors are now on a four-game losing streak and Curry is surely not satisfied with the team’s performances.

Stephen Curry scored 30 points against the Lakers but it wasn’t enough as the purple and gold came back in the final quarter to win by 8 points. It was an underwhelming performance from the Warriors, who led by 5 points at half-time.

It just wasn’t the night for the Splash Brothers as Klay Thompson scored just 7 points in 31 mins. Moreover, all non-Curry starters scored just 31 points vs the Lakers. Steph Curry, after a disappointing night, slammed the Warriors for a big loss.

Stephen Curry’s message for the Warriors as LeBron James downed them in LA

Curry had a short but strong message for the Warriors: “We’re not that team”. King James proved too hot to handle for the Warriors as he scored 56 points in the Crypto.com Arena.

“We cannot give in to this losing mentality,” Stephen Curry said according to ESPN. “We’re not that team, and I’m not going to let us be that team. … We cannot give in to this losing spirit of just finding different ways to lose basketball games. We have 18 games left, we have to figure out how to turn things around pretty quick.”

Indeed, the Warriors started the season well. However, as the season progressed, they started to drop games. Injuries have also hit them badly, especially in the last two seasons. But with Klay now being fit, everyone expected them to fight for the championship.

But the Warriors are on a four-game losing streak and have dropped to third in the western conference table. The Lakers, on the other side, could use this victory to bounce back and fight for a playoff spot. The Warriors next travel to Denver to face the Nuggets, while the Lakers face San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center.
