The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly open to trading James Harden for Ben Simmons. The Nets are expected to discuss a potential Harden-Simmons swap with the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden joined the Nets around a year ago, but he has again expressed frustration over the Rockets’ treatment with the Nets.
Harden has played 44 games for the Nets this season so far. He has averaged 22.5 points, 8 rebounds and 10.2 assists per game with the Nets this season. The Nets started the season in the best way possible and led the conference table for some time. However, they have been struggling since Kevin Durant’s injury.
Harden joined the Nets to form an elite trio alongside Durant and Kyrie. However, that didn’t seem possible due to Kyrie Irving’s unavailability this season. But Harden performed well alongside Durant and the Nets dominated.

James Harden reportedly frustrated with the Nets over Rockets like treatment
The Athletic recently published a report on what the Harden-Simmons trade would look like. Alex Schiffer from The Athletic reported that Harden is frustrated with the Nets over the same treatment that received in Houston. He also added that Durant and Kyrie’s absence has not helped the situation as well.
“While Harden has thrown hints that he’s not crazy about Irving’s part-time status, a source with knowledge of Harden’s thinking said he’s frustrated in general with his Nets tenure. He came to Brooklyn expecting to be part of a three-headed monster, yet has played a similar role to what was required of him in Houston: having to be the guy.” Alex Schiffer reported on The Athletic.
