Brooklyn Nets are currently 27-14 in the Eastern Conference and are second to the Bulls in the table. However, they have been struggling in the past few games, and with Durant’s injury; they could be in deep trouble. Additionally, they don’t have Kyrie Irving available for all the games this season as he is allowed to play only the away games, which seems like a bizarre situation to Paul Pierce, the former NBA star.
Durant has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee and will start his rehab. There’s not much clarity over his return for now. The Nets have lost six games in their last 10 and are now heavily dependent on James Harden to deliver.
Kyrie is now allowed to play in the home games for not following New York city’s health and safety protocols. However, the Nets called him up for the road games earlier this year. But not everyone is happy with this decision and former NBA star Paul Pierce also expressed his displeasure over it.

Paul Pierce blasts Brooklyn Nets for the Kyrie Irving situation
Former NBA star Paul Pierce recently appeared for an interview on ‘KG Certified’. During the show, Kevin Garnett asked Paul about the Kyrie Irving situation at the Nets. In his response, Paul compared the situation with a ‘girlfriend’ and explained that it disturbs the team’s chemistry.
“I think it’s a chemistry problem. It’s like you got him one day. He’s not there the next day,” Paul Pierce said.
“That’s almost like a girlfriend that got one foot in the door and one foot out. She wants to go out with you sometimes. C’mon man! You either in or you out. Like it’s just messing with the chemistry.”
