Golden State Warriors dominated the NBA in the past decade and won three championships in the process. They reached the NBA Finals for five straight seasons from 2014-15 to 2018-19. However, it wasn’t just due to the talented roster they had, but the team shared a special bond off the pitch as well. The likes of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are close friends, despite coming from different backgrounds.
Steph Curry and Draymond Green have been close friends since the Warriors drafted the latter in 2012. Not just the two, the Warriors still have the Splash Brothers, arguably one of the best duos in the history of the game.
The Warriors at their peak also had the ‘Death Lineup’ which featured Curry, Green, Thompson, Iguodala, and Harrison Barnes. Kevin Durant later replaced Barnes. These players had a really good relationship off the court as well. Draymond Green has recently talked about his relationship with Curry.

Draymond Green opens up on his relationship with Stephen Curry
Draymond Green and Stephen Curry recently appeared for an interview on Fox Sports. During the interview, Green said that in the beginning, he didn’t imagine that he’d be friends with the ‘Baby-faced assassin’. However, the two are now best friends.
“Not at all,” Green told FOX Sports.
“We were just such polar opposites.”

Curry joined the Warriors in 2009 when he was drafted as the 7th overall. He became one of the best talents in the NBA by 2012 when Green signed with the Warriors. However, despite that, the duo got along well and became good friends off the court. The duo helped the Warriors win three NBA championships.
“We can’t f—ing keep doing this,” Green added. “This ain’t it, keep getting our ass kicked, this ain’t it. So there was this mutual understanding of want and will to keep working and do whatever we needed to do to right the ship.”

Green has always been vocal about his bond with Curry. He has been very supportive of the two-time NBA MVP. Green has always stood up for his teammates and not just Curry. And that’s what makes him a good teammate.
