Los Angeles Lakers sit 9th in the Western Conference table after losing to the Pelicans last night. LeBron James and co. are helpless as the Lakers could be on their way towards another disappointing end to the season. Anthony Davis is out injured and he could reportedly be out for the rest of the season. Davis has been injury-prone with the Lakers and if conditions don’t improve, he could be traded.
The Lakers and LeBron James have grown impatient of Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook. The trio of James, Davis, and Russ was getting the ‘best trio’ shouts ahead of the season as the Lakers assembled a monstrous roster. However, things have been downhill as Davis struggled through injuries, while Westbrook failed to make an impact.
James has been frustrated with the team’s performances this season and has been carrying the team single-handedly. Now, according to ESPN, Davis could be out for the rest of the season. Amidst all this, a wild trade deal involving Davis has been proposed by an NBA Insider.

Anthony Davis to Boston Celtics in a proposed deal
While speaking to Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, an NBA executive proposed an Anthony Davis to Celtics trade deal. The proposed deal involved Jaylen Brown, Talen Horton-Tucker, Marcus Smart, and Aaron Nesmith.

“But put AD in a deal with Horton-Tucker, for Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Aaron Nesmith? The Lakers would have to consider that. I’d take it. But they made such an effort to bring AD to that team and if they are going to deal him, they would only send him where he wants to be. And I just don’t think Boston would ever be a team on his list,” the NBA executive told Heavy.com.
The Lakers were reportedly trying to trade Russell Westbrook during the trade deadline, but that couldn’t happen. The above-suggested trade deal would be a massive one if it happens. However, for now, Davis sees himself in the purple and gold.

However, there is another Celtics star who could be a part of the trade in the future. Jayson Tatum used to idolize the Lakers in his childhood and was a big-time Kobe Bryant fan. But for now, the Lakers need to improve and try to make it to the playoffs.
