The discussion for who are the greatest players of all time always comes down to the greatest in every position. Then followed by the subjective greatest players in that position across eras. It is because of this that there is never a singular answer of who is the greatest player of all time. Most commonly, people come down to three players for short-listing who is the GOAT. And they are LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.

Former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins was recently asked who he feels are the top-10 players of all-time in the NBA. His answer received a lot of criticism from fans on Twitter. The sheer disrespect appalled a few Kobe Bryant fans.

Twitter erupts as Perkins disrespects Kobe Bryant in his all-time NBA list

While few criticized the players in his top-10, the main issue was the order in which he ranked them. First, Kobe Bryant does not deserve to be 9th on that list. If NBA was all about the number of championship rings, Bill Russell should have been on top of that list. However, since Perkins claims to have considered other factors in making this list for him, Kobe‘s inclusion so low on this list is appalling.

Since Kendrick Perkins included Kobe so low on this list, he should brace himself for Kobe fans lashing out at him. However, one aspect that goes ignored in this process is that he definitively put LeBron James over Michael Jordan on his list.

Perkins has never hesitated in admitting that he is a huge admirer of LeBron James. Especially since he was drafted in the same year as LeBron and he never got a chance to play with Jordan. However, Perkins has been called out for making misinformed comparisons between these two in the past. So is he really a reliable source to decide the GOAT debate? Highly doubt that.
