Michael Jordan rookie sneakers set to break records

The Jordan brand has had some of the most iconic sneakers over the years. Be it the Jordan XIIIs or the newer ones, the sneakers have had a separate fan base over the years. But aall of it began when Jordan came up with his very first Jordan’s the Red and the White Nike Air Ships.

With a red and white colourway with a unique tongue, the Red and White Air Ships created the proper layout of a modern sneaker. Given how rare these sneakers have become, they are an instant for a collector.

In a recent valuation by Sotheby for his recent Icons of Excellence & Haute Luxury, the auctioneer valued the item to be sold at a whooping range of $1 million to $1.5 million. These Nike Air Ships were worn by Jordan in his rookie year and were signed by Jordan in the 1984-1985 season.

Given how rare this item is, it is hardly a surprise to see the incredible valuation Sotheby has come up with. With such an incredible valuation, these sneakers are easily set to become the costliest sneakers ever sold of Jordan eclipsing MJ’s shattered backboard Jordan 1s which were sold at $615,000.

Ever since his debut in the league, Jordan proved others why not selecting him was a big mistake. With multiple scoring titles, MVP titles and 6 championships, it is easy to say that MJ is the best ever to play the game.
