Michael Jordan and his Charlotte Hornets have been doing exceptionally well this season. The Hornets are 26-21 this season so far and sit 7th in the Eastern Conference. With playoffs in reach, the Hornets are active in the trade market to add some quality to their roster before the trade deadline next month.

Charlotte Hornets have been incredible this season and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. They have reached the playoffs just once after being renamed the Hornets in 2014. However, they have a good chance of making it to the post-season this time around.

The Hornets have a fighting squad and are looking for potential trades that could suit the team. According to recent reports, the Hornets are the latest team to have inquired about Sixers star Ben Simmons.

Michael Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets interested in Ben Simmons

According to The Athletic, the Hornets are the latest team to have inquired about Sixers’ disgruntled star Ben Simmons. The Sixers need a good deal in exchange for Simmons are studying offers from several teams.

“The Charlotte Hornets have been among new teams placing a Simmons inquiry to the 76ers, but there’s been nothing substantive, sources said. In return for Simmons, the 76ers have wanted a top-level All-Star or a package featuring a bevy of first-round draft picks,” Shams Charania and Sam Amick reported.

The Ben Simmons saga was the most talked-about topic during the off-season. Simmons wanted out from the Sixers ahead of the 2021-22 season. However, the Sixers wanted an equally good player in exchange for him and since then there has been a standoff between them and the player.

However, with the trade deadline closing in, there could be an update on the Ben Simmons situation. Some of the early suitors interested in Ben Simmons were Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings. However, now the list of suitors has expanded to around 10 teams, with the Hornets being the latest one to show their interest.

The Hornets are in desperate need of a quality defensive-minded player and Simmons could easily fit in there. They are also a side that likes to shoot a lot of three-pointers and Simmons could flourish in that role as well. But it is yet to be known what Michael Jordan and his Hornets are willing to offer in exchange for Simmons.
