Many regard Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time. Not just because of his success on the court but also due to his hunger to win. Jordan won six championships with the Bulls. He made that possible by performing consistently and demanding more from his teammates every game.

Jordan was a very demanding player during his career. He was a competitor back then and demanded a lot of from his teammates. In fact, despite having good chemistry on the court, he didn’t have a good relationship with many of the players, such as Scottie Pippen.

There are several instances of Jordan trash-talking with players. However, none trump the Jordan-Grant incident when MJ retaliated after Horace Grant had a poor game. To put into perspective, Grant was an important player in the Bulls squad during the early 90s.

Michael Jordan once retaliated when Horace Grant had a poor game

Bulls writer Sam Smith once made an appearance on KNBR’s Tolbert, Krueger, and Brooks. During the interview, Sam Smith revealed what he heard from players about Jordan’s reaction to Horace Grant’s poor game.

“Players would come to me over the years and said, ‘You know what he did? He took Horace [Grant’s] food away on the plane because Horace had a bad game.’ [Michael] told the stewardesses ‘Don’t feed him, he doesn’t deserve to eat’,” Smith said.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Jordan is a competitor. He has a winning mentality and demands a lot from his teammates. If anyone didn’t know earlier, they surely now know it by now after watching the documentary series ‘The Last Dance.’ His Airness did all he could in order to win. It is clearly visible looking at his career.
