Michael Jordan is the majority owner of the Charlotte-based franchise and decided to prepare a farewell for Kobe before that match. Jordan had a heartwarming message for Kobe before that game and admitted that he has been a big fan of Kobe.

“I’ve always been like a big brother, like a little brother. We communicate all the time.” Jordan said. “I want to congratulate you, Vanessa, and the girls. You’ve been a big help to the game of basketball. You helped NBA, you helped promoted, pretty sure you got a lot of fans all over the world. I’m a big fan, I still love watching you play.”

Indeed, Jordan spoke for all of us. Everyone enjoyed Kobe’s last season to its fullest despite the Lakers going through a tough time. The environment around the franchise wasn’t good due to the past few disappointing seasons.
