Rick Carlisle helped Mavericks in winning their only NBA championship. He was the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks for 13 years. His departure means that Jason Kidd and Jared Dudley will have to step up and deliver. Dudley won’t find it hard to settle into the coaching role under Kidd as he has played under Kidd at the Lakers. Jason Kidd was the assistant coach of the Los Angeles Lakers for two seasons and helped the team lift their 17th NBA championship.
Dudley was the 22nd overall pick of Charlotte Bobcats, now Charlotte Hornets, in the 2007 NBA draft. After spending a season in Charlotte, Dudley was traded to Phoenix Suns. He spent five seasons with the Suns and helped them reach the playoffs in 2010. The 2010 playoffs were Dudley’s best in his career as he averaged 7.6 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 1.8 APG, and .4 BPG.
