The Lakers played the second game of the season as they faced off against the Phoenix Suns. Given that the two teams faced off against each other in last season’s playoffs, the game became a must watch.

After a dreadful start to life as a Lakers in a 121-114 loss to the Warriors, the new look team with the likes of Russell Westbrook looked destined to make a comeback. But they couldn’t have been farther away from reality as the Lakers failed to assert their dominance from the very start of the game.

While they did take a feeble 3 point lead, the Suns proved why they were the finalists last season as they outscored the Lakers by 16 points. There was no coming back for the Purple and Gold as they went onto lose the game with a convincing scoreline of 115-105.

Lakers’ legend Magic Johnson reacts to Anthony Davis’ altercation with Dwight Howard

While the performance from the Lakers was a very big cause of concern, the game saw its fair bit of drama off the court. During a timeout, big men Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard reportedly clashed with one another and shoved each other.

This latest incident certainly shock waves all across the NBA world. From many fans and players reacting to the same, seeing teammates in such a public scuffle was unfathomable. A former legend certainly had a similar reaction.

Lakers’ Hall of Famer Magic Johnson was certainly not the biggest fan of the altercation. In a recent tweet, the 3-time Finals MVP claimed that in his time with the team he had never seen such an incident and was certainly disappointed with the incident.

This incident is certainly a big blow for Lakers and their fans. One of the biggest standout features for their team in the bubble was their camaraderie and their team chemistry. Although the personnel are the same, it looks like their team chemistry is in tatters right now.
