NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis reportedly wants out of the Indiana Pacers. After failing to lead the Pacers deep into the playoffs since 2017, Sabonis now reportedly wants out from the Pacers. He’s the second big man who will request a trade from the Pacers after Myles Turner declared his intention to leave earlier this season. Fans of teams like the Lakers and Warriors hope that the All-Star talent would look to join a championship contender.

However, this reveals that the Pacers are either heading towards a rebuild or there are issues in the front office. Either way, NBA fans are ecstatic to see that the All-Star talent could be on his way out of the Pacers.

NBA fans cross their fingers hoping Domantas Sabonis joins their team

What does this mean for the Lakers, Warriors, and Nets?

The Lakers have reportedly indulged in internal discussions about trading Russell Westbrook. Considering that they would look to replace him with All-Star caliber talent, Sabonis would be a good option. Therefore, if Sabonis plays at the 4, LeBron can continue playing at Small Forward and Davis plays center. However, it might not be financially workable for the Pacers since they would have to let go of a lot to make space for Westbrook’s max contract. Hence, this trade might be unlikely.

For the Warriors, a trade for Sabonis would involve the Pacers asking for nothing less than Draymond Green and a future development player or draft assets. Would the Warriors be willing to get rid of the loyal former All-Star Green? Seems unlikely. However, the case is very different for the Brooklyn Nets.
