After the close but hard-fought victory against the Timberwolves, LeBron could not stop praising Carmelo. Describing Anthony as a “breath of fresh air”, James said that he is “Happy as hell” that he got “the opportunity to team up with him for a full season”.

When LeBron describes anything related to Carmelo, one knows it’s straight from his heart. From their draft class to “the call” before signing for the Lakers, LeBron and Carmelo have shared a lot of lifelong memories. Their friendship with Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade is what we famously referred to as the Banana Boat Buddies.
