Los Angeles Lakers have had a disappointing start to the season, and they are .485 this season so far. They are currently on a run of four games without a win and play Eastern Conference leaders, Brooklyn Nets, next. LeBron James has been in top form, but without much help from his teammates, he has been left frustrated.
The Lakers face Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. It will be featured as the ‘LeBron vs KD’ game. Both are at their peak this season but their results are totally different on the respective conference tables. The Nets are on the top of their conference table, while the Lakers are 6th in the Western Conference.
Kevin Durant is already getting MVP shouts this season and has been excellent for the Nets so far. He has been on top form since his comeback after sitting out an entire season in 2019-20. James acknowledged Durant’s comeback from injury in his latest post-game interview.

The Lakers superstar is having a hard time this season as the Lakers are 16-17 this season so far. He was frustrated after the team’s fourth consecutive loss which came against the Spurs and it was visible during the post-game interview. However, he acknowledged Kevin Durant’s insane season with the Nets.

“I think once he (Kevin Durant) got going and once he started seeing the improvement, I don’t think it was any doubt that he will come back in full strength,” James said.
“There was zero doubt that I knew he would come back full strength. He’s not a guy who carries a bunch of muscle and a bunch of weight on his body. Very slender and slim and so it’s like it wasn’t much pounding going on in that particular area that he had to worry about. He doesn’t look like someone that sits around and doesn’t take care of what he needs to take care of. So it was never a question about KD coming back from any injury,” he added.

Kevin Durant‘s comeback to form has been insane. He was out of action for one full season and in the very next campaign, he guided the Nets to the conference semis. The Nets started the season as the championship favorites alongside the Lakers, as they both have had a massive roster overhaul during the summer.
However, the Lakers are struggling for consistency and have now lost 17 games from 33 games. James has been carrying the Lakers this season and has the highest PPG for them.
