Los Angeles Lakers have been disappointing this season, especially after adding so much quality to their roster. The Lakers went through a massive roster overhaul during the off-season and signed players such as Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, among others. However, they’re still struggling this season and are heavily dependent on LeBron James. That fact was recently recognized by Kevin Garnett, who’s usually one of LeBron’s more vocal critics.
King James, unlike the rest of his team, has been in top form this season. He has been putting up incredible numbers this season and is only behind Kevin Durant in the most points per game list this season. James has been performing without much support from the other starters, like Westbrook.
In fact, despite playing lesser games than everyone above him on the list, he is 10th on the scoring list this season.

Despite the Lakers’ woes, James has been a regular name in the MVP conversation this season because of his numbers at the age of 37. Former NBA star Kevin Garnett recently heaped praise on the 37-year-old star.

Kevin Garnett praises LeBron James, puts him in the MVP conversation
2004 NBA MVP Kevin Garnett recently sat down for a chat with Paul Pierce. During their conversation, Garnett praised LeBron for putting up insane numbers at the Lakers.
“We talk about Bron. He’s looking incredible. What he’s doing is different. He’s on a different regimen as far as the body and everything to keep up,” Garnett said.
Paul Pierce stepped in and said that LeBron can be in the MVP conversation. However, he also added that it is a combination of individual and team success. Garnett then added that LeBron doing it at this age is ‘crazy’.
“But what he’s doing at 37 is crazy,” Garnett added.

Los Angeles Lakers currently sit 8th in the western conference table with a 0.488 record. They are currently on a 3-game losing streak and have lost five games out of their last 10. The Lakers suffered a big defeat at the Crypto.com Arena at the hands of Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets recently.
