Cryptocurrency exchange company Crypto.com recently bought the naming rights of Los Angeles Lakers’ home arena. The deal was worth $700 million, and the name was changed on Christmas Day. Now, the crypto company has partnered with Lakers star LeBron James’ foundation.

King James and his LeBron James Family Foundation have recently partnered with Crypto.com to provide Web3 education to the ‘I Promise’ program. The ‘I Promise’ program has been an important project for the LeBron James Foundation.

This has added around 1600 students to the program in the past decade. However, in 2020, the foundation initiated a new community hub offering job training. Now, the deal between Crpyto.com and LBFF will add Web3 education to the program. Moreover, the deal will support the foundation financially.

This is a huge deal for James and his foundation and will surely benefit several students. While this was for the benefit of the people, some fans trolled James for partnering with a Crypto company, others admired him for the same.

The Crypto.com-LBFF deal has caused a storm on Twitter. Some fans trolled James for the new partnership, while some appreciated his greatness. Following are some of the reactions of the same.

While some didn’t like the partnership and trolled James for it, James was happy to partner with the crypto company. James said that blockchain tech is revolutionizing everything and some communities shouldn’t be left behind.

“Blockchain technology is revolutionizing our economy, sports and entertainment, the art world, and how we engage with one another,” James said.

“I want to ensure that communities like the one I come from are not left behind. Crypto.com and I are aligned on the need to educate and support my community with the information and tools they need for inclusion.”

Crypto.com, apart from partnering with LBFF, has also partnered with Matt Damon. Matt Damon will now promote the company as their face.
