The Los Angeles Lakers have clearly not performed anywhere close to what fans expected from them. Now, the nightmare does not end for the Lakers fans as Anthony Davis is sidelined with an MCL Sprain in his left knee.
After returning to court post an ankle injury, Davis injured himself again on his left knee after a Timberwolves player fell on it. Consequently, he is set to miss the next four weeks of NBA basketball. If the possibility of Westbrook getting traded was not enough, Davis’ sidelining and rumors of Westbrook’s exit are worrying the Lakers’ fans at the moment.

How long is Anthony Davis expected to miss NBA basketball?
Anthony Davis has faced too many injury scares for the Lakers fans to be in a comfortable zone about it. Therefore, his vulnerability to injury has caused him to not become a reliable second option at the Lakers. Since his injuries cause a bad run of offensive performance, with his struggles already this season, this injury affects the franchise greatly.
With reports of the LA front office discussing trade options for Russell Westbrook, this looks like the end of the Big Three at the Lakers. If LA chooses to trade Westbrook in the month which Davis is expected to miss, the Timberwolves game was the last time the Big Three would ever play together. That is unfortunate for the LA fans.

A player who was in the Finals MVP discussion two seasons ago is now struggling to shoot even at a 20% efficiency from beyond the arc. That feels like an unbelievable fact. However, Davis’ current 3 point percentage is 17.9% which is a worrying sight for any Lakers fans.
