Since the league is resuming on neutral grounds, there won’t be any significant home games for the participating teams. The staff inside the bubble are also limited. This means that there will be lots of work in hands for everyone. That is when Rob Pelinka stepped up for the Los Angeles Lakers and made life easier for his team’s staff.

For those of you who are unaware of who Pelinka is, he is the General Manager of the Lakers and the Vice President of Basketball Operations. Pelinka holds such an esteemed position in the organization, but his humility will definitely astonish you.

Due to restrictions put forth by the league, there are only a limited number of staff members that can accompany the team. Thus, it makes everything more difficult. A lot goes behind the players’ routine before a game.

Since his team is short-staffed in the bubble, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has wowed everyone with his humility. Kyle Goon of ‘The Orange County Register’ managed to get in touch with Pelinka and a head-athletic trainer from the team. Here’s what he learned about the collaborative effort that drives the Lakers’ support staff insdie the bubble:

“General manager Rob Pelinka started the year swinging one of the biggest trades of the offseason for Anthony Davis and signing contracts for a team that would go on to be the West’s No. 1 seed. In the bubble, he’s a rebounder and occasionally a waterboy,” Goon informed. “His employees have watched him mop up sweat on the court at practices.”

Rob Pelinka also commented on his activities on helping his staff out and said: “There’s no task that’s too low that we can’t come in and help. Especially when it comes to our players and their safety and servicing their needs.”

Pelinka’s service is an outstanding lesson in humility and we don’t know if any other NBA executive has managed to chip in by mopping floors or acting as a waterboy. Pelinka’s incredible act has earned him the applause of Lakers owner Jeanie Buss. Here’s her Twitter post on the same:
