In NBA, the term “GOAT” i.e Greatest of All Time is casually thrown around a lot. It mostly moves around a fixed number of players, but those who truly know basketball can debate on it endlessly. Therefore, it’s safe to say there’s no right answer to this question of who is singularly the greatest of all time. However, perhaps in a single era or generation of NBA basketball, there might be a right answer to this debate. In this generation, that debate more often than not revolves around Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.
While the LeBron James vs Michael Jordan debate has gone on for a considerably long time, some experts now feel that this new era has a new Michael Jordan of its own. His name is Stephen Curry. Well, at least the Boston legend Kevin Garnett certainly thinks so. This is what he said about Curry’s impact on this generation of NBA basketball and how it is like what Michael Jordan did for his era.

Celtics legend admits Stephen Curry is the “Michael Jordan of his era”
While talking about his opinions on Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Garnett did not hesitate to drop a bold comparison to explain how fortunate Wiggins is.
“He’s playing with the Michael Jordan of his era,” Garnett said. “The knowledge that he takes not just from Steve Kerr and that coaching staff but that pedigree of excellence that they push around there in Golden State — you can’t come in there and be less than. Those are champions in there. Those guys have won together. They’ve been in the grit. They’ve been in the foxhole together. I think it motivates him.”

It’s not really a shocker for DubNation to see Stephen Curry in the GOAT debate or well at least a GOAT comparison. Ever since the Warriors drafted Curry into the league, he has worked hard to redefine the game of basketball. Especially in the NBA. His shooting, handles, passing and speed, are arguably unparalleled in the present day.

He undoubtedly became the face of the league’s three-point revolution, if not the league as a whole. However, do you think Garnett made this comparison because Stephen Curry is that great? Are his past tensions with LeBron James the cause for him not acknowledging LeBron? Let us know what you think about it.
