James Harden went to the NBA Finals with Oklahoma City Thunder, before coming to Houston. However, it is arguable that his best chance at a ring came after he joined the Houston Rockets. If it were not for Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson’s trio, maybe that dream would’ve come true for Harden. At a point, the Golden State Warriors had a completely All-Star Starting lineup. So if any team defined the epitome of a super team, it was the Golden State Warriors.
Therefore, it would shock anybody when a player from this roster would say that James Harden’s Rockets were better than them. Let alone, arguably the best player in his opposition, Kevin Durant. However, Durant has admitted that James Harden was truly a threat to this star-studded team, shows exactly how dominant and lethal Harden was during his time with the Houston Rockets.

Kevin Durant says Harden’s Rockets were the best team in the NBA

And he did that for eight years and provided some great memories and moments for the state and the city. They were the best team here for a while. So he did a lot for this organization.”
