Golden State Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga has been in great form lately. The 19-year-old forward signed with the Warriors last summer after being drafted 7th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. In fact, Kuminga’s performances have earned him comparisons to Giannis Antetokounmpo from fans.

Golden State Warriors signed Kuminga in August and handed him his debut in October vs the Thunder, where the youngster racked up three points in 6 mins. After recording his career’s first double vs the Pistons, Steve Kerr handed the former G League Ignite star his 2nd straight start vs. the Pacers. Kuminga played 15 mins and scored 5 points. However, the only noticeable thing in his game that he needs to work on is his early foul issue. He averages 1.5 fouls per game, which might not be a lot, but his average per 36 min is 4.5 fouls.

“Just learning lessons,” Kuminga said after the game vs. Pistons. “I have to be smart on the floor, especially being a rookie. If I foul most of the time, I’m going to come right out. Today was my learning lesson and I’m gonna do better next time.”
