17-time NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy during the off-season and have had a total of 13 incomings to their roster. They already have two of the best players in the NBA in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, the duo struggled because of injuries last season, and they crashed out of the playoffs in the first round itself.
But the Lakers have bounced back from the loss and are increasing their roster depth in case they need backups for injuries. They already had one of the best squads in the NBA, and have now signed many veterans with vast experience, making them the title contenders for the coming season.

Former Indiana Pacers legend and current NBA analyst on ESPN Jalen Rose has explained why the Lakers are the best team in the NBA.
Jalen Rose feels Los Angeles Lakers are the best team in basketball
Jalen Rose is an EPSN analyst and co-hosts the show ‘Jalen and Jacoby’ on ESPN’s YouTube channel. In a recent episode of the show, Rose said that Lakers GM Rob Pelinka is ‘running laps’ around the league.
“The Lakers, in my opinion, are the clear cut best team in basketball. If they stay healthy, LeBron James is getting another ring this year,” Jalen said.
With a monstrous depth and backups for almost every position, Frank Vogel can’t complain if he doesn’t deliver a championship in the coming season. While many would argue that the players signed are past their prime, they bring a wealth of experience. In fact, many signings have played for the Lakers in the past; this would help them in settle in fast.

GM Rob Pelinka is ‘running laps’ around the league
When Rose was asked if the new signings during the off-season make the Lakers the best team in the NBA, he said, “All I know is this: my former teammate Rob Pelinka running laps around the rest of the league as it relates to putting his roster together,” Jalen replied.
Ron Pelinka has done a tremendous job in adding quality players to the Lakers roster. This has massively boosted their chances of trumping the Boston Celtics in terms of the number of NBA championships won. The Lakers have an aging squad but if they manage to utilize their experience, they could win a few championships in the next few seasons.
