Kobe Bryant arguably had one of the most decorated careers in the NBA. With individual accolades like the MVP trophy, scoring championships and Finals MVP trophies with a whooping 5 NBA championships, the ‘Mamba’ surely left his mark on the game.
While two of his championships came along with an All-Star forward in Pau Gasol, Bryant was undoubtedly the star of the show in those championship runs. But for his three other titles, it was Shaquille O’Neal who took center stage.
With one of the most dominant players on his side, every team feared Kobe and Co. ‘Bean’ meanwhile acted as the perfect supporting player alongside Shaq as he made shots from all across the floor be it the mid-range or else.

Isiah Thomas takes a subtle dig on Kobe Bryant & Michael Jordan
Detroit Pistons’ legend Isiah Thomas is no fan favorite. Although Thomas was one of the most skilled players of his generation and did end up with two NBA championships, his image was tarnished because of his team and his supposed feud with MJ.
Over the years, the 60-year-old has been pretty vocal about his opinions on the game and still divides fans all around the world. This time the Pistons’ legend cane up with yet another controversial tweet.
The only top 50 player to win #backtoback #championships @NBA #history without another top 50 teammate. Let it be known #pistons #badboys pic.twitter.com/VFsszIi9qU
— Isiah Thomas (@IsiahThomas) October 16, 2021
Posting his own photo of scoring against the Magic Johnson led show-time Lakers, ‘Zeke’ wrote, “The only top 50 player to win back to back championships without another top 50 teammate.”
While Thomas does make a great point, it seems like the 2-time Finals MVP is taking a subtle dig at the likes of Michael Jordan and especially Kobe Bryant as the two played with the likes of Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O’Neal. Bryant even managed to do the same in 2009 and 2010 when he only had a single All-Star in Gasol.

Kobe fans slam Isiah Thomas’ latest tweet
The fans of ‘Black Mamba’ were certainly not the biggest fans of the 12-time All-Star’s latest tweet. Many enraged fans called out ‘Zeke’ and barraged the legend with multiple angry responses.
Yet wasnt a 2x FMVP. You had plenty of help. You gotta be the most insecure player of all time.
Joe Dumars – FMVP ’89
Dennis Rodman – Back to Back DPOY ’90, ’91
Chuck Daly – HOF CoachCan’t wait to see your tears when Rodman is on the Top 75.

Also the only top 50 player to be a quitter and not finish games.
Only top 50 player to ruin a franchise (NY)
I could go on…..Rodman not being top 50 is a technicality of him not scoring points. As one of best defenders and rebounders.

What’s hilarious Thomas is that you’re not even a top 50 player lol

You had 2 other hall of famers in your squad,
Rodman was one of the best PF’s ever.
Joe Dumars is one of the best 2 guards ever,
Mark Aguirre was a perennial all-star in Dallas and was coming off your bench.
Laimbeer was an all-star center.Stop underrating them

While Thomas definitely had a bold claim, he had a very balanced supporting cast around him. With a lockdown defender and rebounding machine like Dennis Rodman, an All-Star guard like Joe Dumars and a dominant big man, Bill Laimbeer, the Pistons were stacked. Do you think the Pistons’ legend was disrespectful to Bryant?
