LeBron James has been one of the best players in the NBA history, if not the best. His unique skill set and playing style is something that has been admired for two decades. However, LeBron is mixed-handed, and that makes him more special. Not many top sportspersons are mixed-handed except a few, such as Lionel Messi and LeBron James.

Not many know that while James’s right hand dominated the NBA for around two decades, he does almost every other thing with his left. James is a natural leftie but prefers to shoot with his right hand. However, there have been instances when James has scored with his left, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

King James‘ cross-dominant nature has been visible for a while now. One of the most famous shots from his left came against the Raptors in 2016. However, James once revealed that he doesn’t know why he prefers his right when it comes to basketball.

LeBron James reveals why he plays basketball form right despite being left-handed

James, in a 2017 interview, talked about playing basketball with his right hand. At first, he admitted that he had no idea, but later said that it could be Michael Jordan or Penny Hardaway, whom he watched in his childhood.

“I have no idea how I became a right-handed basketball player,” James said. “I think maybe it was because of Michael Jordan, Penny Hardaway, guys that I looked up to growing up. Seeing those guys shoot righty, I guess I’ll shoot righty. I’m pretty much a left-hand guy. I don’t take many of those shots, but I’m capable of making those shots. I work on my craft, I work on both hands.”
