LeBron James is undoubtedly the face of the NBA. And he does not stand by anything which is disrespectful to the game of basketball; Even when it was not against his own team. Yesterday, the Washington Wizards broadcast team had an inexcusable moment where he reacted to Kevin Porter Jr’s game-winning shot with derogatory comments about his father. Therefore, as soon as LeBron found out about this, he tweeted lashing out at the broadcaster responsible.

Kevin Porter Jr. dropped a game-winning shot on the shorthanded Washington Wizards. To most fans, the Wizards’ team’s comments came across as a disgruntled response to the game-ending shot. And most of the Rockets fans called out for the broadcaster to be fired or at least give a public apology. Now, even LeBron James agrees such comments are not tolerable in the NBA. However, is there a side to this that does not meet the public eye?

LeBron James lashes out at Washington’s broadcaster

Kevin Porter Jr dropped a game-winning three in the last second on the Washington Wizards. Wizards, who were playing at home, were already short-handed when Bradley Beal fouled out. However, they came up clutch to tie the game when it seemed to be over. However, in the last possession of the game, Kevin Porter Jr destroyed their hopes at home and silenced Washington.

In response to this, the Washington broadcasting team made comments about Kevin’s shooting. LeBron James could not believe that a broadcaster could stoop so low. He tweeted, “Oh he thought this was cool huh!!?? Nah we ain’t going for this! Sorry but this ain’t going to fly! How insensitive can you be to say something like this. Beat it man! I pray for you but there’s no place in our beautiful game for you!”

What does this mean for the Washington Wizards?

NBA fans could not believe that the Washington Wizards team would make such a derogatory comment. Since in the heat of the moment, it seemed like a blow below the belt to a clutch loss.

However, NBA Twitter, including LeBron James, feels that there is no room for such statements in the NBA. Some are even pushing for him to be fired, but a public apology seems the least he should do.
