The recent Chicago Bulls-Milwaukee Bucks clash turned out to be a little more eventful than one expected it to be. The game ended with an injured Alex Caruso – courtesy of Grayson Allen’s foul play during a layup. It goes without saying that fans remain disgruntled with the situation and extremely worried for Caruso’s health.

Though it did injure Caruso, a slightly altered fall could have cost him his career. As a result, NBA fans have been expressing their views on social media and have continued to call out Allen for his controversial play.

Fans blast Grayson Allen on Twitter for his foul play on Alex Caruso

The incident took place in the third period of the game with around 5:45 left on the clock. Caruso tried for a layup after a fast break, only to be halted by Allen. The Bucks guard then ended up turning Caruso in the air, which sent him to the floor. The Bulls star landed on his wrist, and finished the first half with 3 points, shooting 1-of-6 from the field.

Though Caruso complained of his wrist being injured, no one expected a long-term injury. According to recent reports, Caruso’s wrist is broken and will probably require surgery the following week.

“Grayson Allen is a meance to society,” one fan wrote.

Some even demanded a suspension for the

Bucks guard, while others believed it was a hard foul and nothing else. Certain fans even brought up the 90s, adding how this play would have probably elicited no response back then. Though many agreed, many wanted everyone to see how gruesome Allen’s move could have been.“Are ya blind?” one fan wrote. “That ain’t a bball move! That was an MMA move during a ball game”.

The Milwaukee Bucks coach seemed to agree with most fans. Caruso’s health – which is a major priority – has been compromised. “For Alex to be in the air and for [Allen] to take him down like that, he could’ve ended his career,” Donovan said, adding that Allen has a history of such plays.

He pushed the league to take some action, especially as this could have severely injured Caruso.

What do you think of Allen’s play? Should the Bucks star really be suspended?
