A few days ago, the Golden State Warriors updated fans about both Klay Thompson and James Wiseman. The Warriors roster has been plagued with injuries for the past two years, but the team looks like they are on their way to recovery this season. While the team did provide everyone with an update, their recent social media post was an update that only a few expected – Klay Thompson practicing.

Thompson has been away for over two years, having torn his ACL back in 2019 during the NBA Finals. Last season, even before he could play a preseason game, Thompson was ruled out for the entire season due to an Achilles injury. However, with the recent photos uploaded by the team, Thompson looks more than ready to be back on the NBA court.

Is Klay Thompson ready to be back on the court?

“Another day in the office,” the Warriors wrote, sharing a photo of Thompson along with it. The 31-year-old looks healthy as one can see him mid-movement with the ball in his hand. They shared a second shot as well, a photo of Thompson on the court. The Splash Brother shared the photo on his personal account as well.

Unsurprisingly, fans were supportive and shared their excitement in the comments section, looking forward to the Warriors star’s return to the court.

According to the Warriors’ update, Thompson has made ‘good progress’ while rehabilitating this summer and is most likely to return during the 2021-22 season. Unfortunately, there is no exact date or time available for his return, especially since his progress has to be monitored. Once the training camp has begun, Thompson will be a part of “various controlled drills”. Just like his return to the court, his return to full practice will also be decided upon later.

While the Warriors had Steph Curry back last season, they still ended up missing the playoffs after their play-in loss. With Thompson and Wiseman on the road to recovery, the team is looking to regain their dominance in the league.
