Phoenix Suns have had a mixed start to their NBA campaign. After an incredible pre-season, they have managed to win just twice in five games. Despite their rough start, veteran Chris Paul has been among the players who have shone the brightest for them so far.

The 36-year-old veteran has been on the top of his game for more than a decade, and he isn’t slowing down. He already holds several all-time records in the NBA, and he has now added another one to the list.

When the Suns beat the Lakers at Staples Center last month, he became the only player in the NBA to record 20,000 points and 10,000 assists in their career. And CP3 achieved another big milestone during Suns vs Pelicans; he is now third on NBA’s all-time assists list.

This feat from the ‘Point God‘ has attracted many reactions from NBA Twitter.

Twitter reacts to Chris Paul reaching third on the all-time assists list

Paul started the Pelicans game as the fifth-ranked player on the all-time assists list. During the first quarter, he delivered seven assists to move to fourth, thus overtaking Mark Jackson (10,335). Later in the game, Paul dished out another assist to surpass Suns legend Steve Nash as the player with third-highest assists in the league.

Chris Paul is now only behind Jason Kidd and John Stockton on the all-time assists list. And safe to say, NBA Twitter was impressed by CP3’s feat.

It’s incredible to see Paul surpass two of the best playmakers in NBA history in a single game. One of the best point guards of this generation, he is in his second season with the Suns. He helped them reach the NBA finals last season, where they lost to Milwaukee Bucks. However, Paul is determined to deliver a championship to the city of Phoenix, and looking at his form, this season could be it.
