High-flying Cleveland Cavaliers lost their 14th game of the season against the Pelicans. However, not just the game, they lost their star guard Ricky Rubio to what appeared as a knee injury. Several NBA players came out with messages of support for the Spanish star, with the latest being Warriors star Klay Thompson.
Cleveland Cavaliers, who sit 5th in the table, lost 108-104 to New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center. Ricky Rubio ended the game with 27 points from 37 minutes. However, it wasn’t enough as the Cavs lost to a struggling Pelicans side on the road. Dean Wade replaced Ricky with around 2 minutes to go for the final buzzer.
The Cavaliers struggled in the final quarter and this allowed the Pelicans to make a comeback. With Rubio out due to a torn ACL, several NBA stars came out in support of him on social media. Warriors star Klay Thompson extended his support to Ricky through Twitter.
