The Los Angeles Lakers have had a rough start to the 2021-22 NBA campaign despite having a proficient roster at their helm. However, they were able to bounce back with some strong performances from their star duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Sadly, the Lakers faltered once again as they lost to 4th placed Memphis Grizzlies on the road.
James tallied his 100th triple-double of his career as he scored 20 points, provided 11 assists, and registered 10 rebounds versus the Grizzlies. He became the fifth NBA player to achieve this feat.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel was unhappy at the team’s display as they threw away a four-point lead in the first quarter. Vogel later revealed that he wasn’t surprised at the Lakers blowing another lead.

These are some strong words from the coach who is already under scrutiny due to the team’s poor performances this season. Vogel also said that their approach was very casual.
Los Angeles Lakers entered the game as the favorites because the Grizzlies missed a lot of players due to injuries. Memphis Grizzlies were without Ja Morant, Kyle Anderson, Brandon Clarke, Dillon Brooks, and Zaire Williams. The Lakers committed 22 turnovers with James and Westbrook combining for 11 of them. They also allowed 13 rebounds to the Grizzlies as they fell back to .500 this season.
