Memphis Grizzlies registered their 22nd win of the season against the Lakers. The Grizzlies won 104-99 at the FedEx Forum and are now fourth in the conference table. Ja Morant single-handedly destroyed the Lakers’ defense and scored 41 points to hand his team a win. His performances earned him comparisons to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Morant was at his peak against the Lakers. He scored 41 points and recorded 10 rebounds. He also made a career-high six 3-pointers against the Lakers. Not just his stats, he inspired his team to come back from behind in the final quarter.

His insane performance against the Lakers has earned his praises from several current and former NBA stars. Former NBA star Kendrick Perkins is the latest one to lavish praise at the 22-year-old.

Kendrick Perkins calls Ja Morant, the next Giannis Antetokounmpo
Kendrick Perkins recently appeared in the ‘First Take‘ show and praised Ja Morant. He also called the 22-year-old the next Antetokounmpo.

“People keep saying a rising superstar. I think he’s (Ja Morant) already got that level. And in my opinion, I’m looking at Ja Morant and he’s going to be, in my opinion, the next Giannis of the NBA,” Kendrick Perkins said.
“And when I say that, because I’m not just talking about the individual accolade. but when I look at this young leader, this young killer, to me if I had to bet all the money in the world, he would be the next superstar to lead a franchise, a small pocket franchise to win the championship.”

Ja Morant had an insane game and despite being one of the youngest ones on the court, he helped the Grizzlies register an important win. The Lakers, however, are in a deep mess now. They have now lost six in the last seven games and are currently 7th at the conference table.
