With the Pelicans, Thomas came off the bench, scoring 7.7 points per game, shooting 33.3% from the field. Even though Thomas was one of the brightest players in the league, his hip injury in 2017 slowed down his career as no one expected. He scored well and excelled from 2015 to 2017, even leading the Celtics to the Eastern Conference finals.
However, his recovery turned out to be complicated, his time with any team ending up limited. Thomas’ performance is also affected, the two-time NBA all-star struggling to keep up.
