A deal with a famous shoe company is one of the biggest endorsement deals an NBA athlete can get during his career. However, signing with the Jordan brand is another badge of honor. Michael Jordan and his legacy loom large over the Jordan brand, but the athletes that get selected for the brand are considered special.

Jayson Tatum opens up on signing with the Jordan brand

Celtics forward Tatum recently appeared for an interview on the Knuckleheads podcast. During the podcast, he was asked about his experience of signing with the prestigious brand.

To this Tatum replied: “It was towards the end of my second year, we was in the playoffs and I was making that transition. You know to get on Jordan ranting, you gotta get the final say-so got to go through MJ himself. To be on Jordan brand, he got to personally want you to be over there. So for the greatest player of all time to seek you out and want him to be a part of your brand.”
