Many regard Shaquille O’Neal as one of the greatest players in NBA history. He has been credited with revolutionizing the role of a center in the NBA. Moreover, he won four championships in his career with two different franchises. However, with all these championships, came a lot of controversies. Shaq’s feud with Kobe Bryant became one of the highlighted events during the early 2000s.
Shaq and Kobe played alongside for eight seasons at Los Angeles Lakers. They were part of the record-breaking Lakers team that won the three-peat in the early 2000s. Despite being one of the best duos in the NBA at that time, they didn’t get along off the court. Their feud was further escalated because of personal differences and arguments over their roles in the franchise.
However, their relations got better slowly as Shaq went to Miami. Shaq didn’t receive a warm welcome on the Lakers’ court when he came back as a rival for the first time after leaving. Dwyane Wade recently revealed how Shaq reacted to the atmosphere after his alleged feud with Kobe.
