Michael Jordan had a short career in the NBA when compared with other NBA greats. But he won it all in the 14 years he played in the league. Moreover, he won them all in style. MJ is often compared with LeBron James when it comes to the GOAT debate. However, Draymond Green recently admitted that LeBron had bigger expectations in his high school days as compared to Jordan.

LeBron James played for St. Vincent-St. Mary varsity team during his high school. He had incredible stats from his high school days and was labeled as ‘King James’. James averaged 21 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in his freshman year in high school. Moreover, he led his school to the state title in his freshman year itself.

“I always tell people with LeBron like that. He got the chosen one tattooed across his back,” Green said.

Green continued: “He had that tattoo in high school. He was anointed King James in high school. I think for one what’s so incredible to me about LeBron is he probably had the highest expectations of any high school, ex, any player.”

“But especially high school players ever coming into the NBA. Like even Michael Jordan didn’t have the expectations to become who Michael Jordan became when he came out of North Carolina. LeBron probably had the highest expectations, not only, he exceeded them.”

James had an incredible junior year, and he replicated the same form in his senior year. He averaged 31.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in his senior year. He helped St. Vincent-St. Mary to win the Division II championship as well.
