Triple-double king and 2017 NBA MVP, Russell Westbrook is a Laker now. 17-time NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook and three future second-round picks from Washington Wizards in a trade deal last month. This was Westbrook’s third trade in three years.

A video of Russell Westbrook’s training has got viral recently. Westbrook shared a video clip of his training on his Instagram story. Westbrook was seen dribbling and dunking over trainers with extenders. However, he has received a lot of flak from many, as he was seen celebrating at the end of the clip. NBA Analyst Skip Bayless didn’t like it as well.

Skip Bayless blasts Russell Westbrook over his recent training video

In a recent episode of ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed‘, Skip has shared his thoughts on Russell Westbrook’s latest training video that went viral. Skip said that Russ was ‘dunking over kids’.

“Does he (Russell Westbrook) have no shame? I’ve never seen anything like this before. He’s dunking over three kids. I think they’re like high school kids and they don’t look like they’re that athletic,” Skip Bayless said.

“He’s dunking, and he’s actually mean-mugging to people who are taking this video. He’s doing the equivalent of chest-beating, checks chest flexing. And one with three high school kids. I don’t even know if they play basketball or not. I’m not sure they play basketball and they’re trying to bother a shot with extenders and he’s going to dunk over.”

It’s clear that Russell Westbrook’s training video didn’t go down well with Skip. However, during the show, former Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe said that he was completely fine with the video. In fact, Sharpe thinks that it’s nice that players share these videos because it lets everyone know that they’re working on themselves during the off-season.

Last season, Russell Westbrook averaged the highest MPG (36.4), RPG (11.4), and APG (11.7) of his career in the regular season. However, after just one season with the Wizards, Russ has joined the Lakers. The Lakers have been building a ‘super team’ for the coming season and, with Russell’s addition, they are a championship-contending team. Russ will also have the opportunity to win his career’s first NBA title.
