Dennis Rodman played for several top teams during his career. He was a part of the legendary Pistons team that missed out on the three-peat during the late 80s. However, he managed to win a three-peat with the Bulls in the 90s. He also had short stints with Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks late in his NBA career.
While many remember him for his stint with the Bulls and the Pistons, it wasn’t the end of his career after the Bulls’ breakup in 1998. In fact, he found himself playing for another top NBA franchise the next season – Los Angeles Lakers.

Rodman got the opportunity to play alongside another NBA great, Kobe Bryant. Although Rodman’s Lakers stint was short, it produced incredible stories. Rodman recently revealed that he was dating Lakers president Jeanie Buss during that time.

Dennis Rodman opens up about dating Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss
Rodman recently answered some questions regarding his Lakers stint. He also opened up about dating Lakers president Jeanie Buss for six months.
“Jeanie Buss called me. Jeanie said, ‘Dennis you want to go out to dinner?’ I said ‘Yeah why not.’ I’ve known Jeanie since she was in Playboy,” Rodman said.
“So they put me up in the Ritz Carlton, in the penthouse, and she said ‘You wanna have some drinks?’ so we have some drinks. Of course… take it from there. So I start, this is a true story, I started dating Jeanie Buss. I dated her for six months.”

Rodman was released by the Bulls in 1999 and he signed for the Lakers for the remainder of the season. Rodman only played 23 games for the Lakers, starting in 11 of them. He averaged 2.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game during his Lakers career.

The Lakers then released the ‘worm’ during the off-season, after which he signed for the Mavericks. However, he was waived by the Mavericks that season and could only play 12 games for them. This was the end of his NBA career, after which he featured for some teams in the ABA.
