Chicago Bulls downed Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season as they won 115-110 at the United Center. DeMar DeRozan received the green signal to play from NBA’s health and safety protocols and scored 38 points. LeBron James, on the other side, led the scoring charts for the Lakers with 31 points.
DeMar DeRozan was placed in the NBA health and safety protocols two weeks ago and was cleared just in time for the Bulls vs Lakers game. In the previous game against the Lakers, DeRozan, coincidentally, scored 38 points when they won 121-103. DeRozan repeated the same numbers vs the Lakers, this time at the United Center.
Putting up big numbers against a great side such as the Lakers shows how good DeRozan is. While the numbers from DeRozan and the result may appear coincidental, the amount of effort put behind by the team isn’t. DeRozan has also given his verdict on the team’s 2nd win over the Lakers this season.

DeRozan feels winning against LeBron James and the Lakers twice not a coincidence
DeMar DeRozan’s two best performances of the season came against the Lakers. In both games, he scored 38, helping his team win against the Lakers. After scoring another 38 points on Sunday night, DeRozan said that it’s not a coincidence.
“You think it’s a coincidence? Nah — It may be,” DeRozan said after scoring 38 points for the 2nd time vs. the Lakers this season.
DeMar DeRozan was asked whether it was a coincidence two of his biggest games have come against the Lakers this season:

DeRozan excelled on a night LeBron James was in form as well. James has been in top form for the last few weeks and has been carrying the Lakers single-handedly. He scored 31 points against the Bulls. Any other game and with some more support, James would have delivered a win for the Lakers.
